Cook time:
Ingredients:
- 5 lbs pork shoulder or butt, diced 1 inch cubes
- 3-4 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cups TEASPOON WILLIE'S EVERYTHING SAUCE
- 4 cups chicken stock
- 2 cups water
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Dice pork shoulder into 1 inch cubes, pat cubes dry with paper towels and sprinkle with salt and pepper. In a large cast iron pan or heavy pot, heat 3-4 tbsp vegetable oil (just enough to coat the bottom of the pan) and bring temperature to just smoking. Sear the pork cubes on all sides, creating a hard, dark crust.
- Once all meat is seared, return it to a heavy pot large enough for all of the diced pork and 8 cups of liquid. Add stock and water just barely covering the pork and 1 ½ cups of TEASPOON WILLIE'S EVERYTHING SAUCE.
- Braise meat on a low boil for 4-6 hours or until ridiculously tender.
- Scoop the pork from the sauce into a bowl where it can be easily shredded with a fork. Cover to keep it moist.
- Boil remaining braising liquid in the pot for 30 minutes, until it reduces by half.
- Spoon approximately ½ cup of the reduced braising liquid and ½ cup TEASPOON WILLIE'S EVERYTHING SAUCE over the shredded pork and mix until incorporated and moist.
